Document Services
The library offers printing, scanning, and copying services to the general public. All prices and fees for these services can be found on page 16 of the Master Fee Schedule. Click here or click the blue button above to view.

Computer ServicesFaxing services are unavailable at this time.
The library offers the use of computers (or Wi-Fi) with internet access to all patrons. A library card is not required, however, all Patrons must sign in at the front desk before using a computer or Wi-Fi. Library staff can only provide limited computer assistance. If a Patron is unfamiliar with or uncomfortable using a computer, we strongly urge that they bring someone with them to assist.
The Library's Collection
We offer more than 17,000 physical titles, including over 1,000 movies on DVD or Blu-ray. Our collection includes materials for all ages, with fiction across most genres and a wide range of nonfiction topics. From colorful board books to research projects, we've got you covered!
Your library card also provides access to a variety of digital collections, offering e-books and e-audiobooks at your fingertips.
Community Spaces in the Library
Are you looking for a place to hold a small meeting? Do you need a quiet location for a proctored exam? We can help. Call 979.567.3271 ext. 500 or 501 place a reservation. Maximum occupancy is 8. Additional community spaces for small groups (10 or less) are available at the Caldwell Civic and Visitor's Center and may be reserved by calling 979.567.3271 ext. 700 or 701.
We also have individual work/study areas located throughout the library that may be used at anytime without reservation.
Library Accounts/Cards
Who can get a card?
Anyone age 18 and older may apply for a library card. Library cards are free to residents of Burleson County. Non-resident cards are available for a $12 annual fee.
How to Get Your Card
- All applicants must provide a photo ID with current mailing address.
Borrowing Limits
- New patrons to the library are limited to 4 items for the first six (6) weeks (2 of which may be movies) until a good borrowing record is established. After the six week probationary period, patrons may check out up to 15 items, 4 of which may be movies.
Placing Holds
- Items may be placed on hold for 2 to 5 days, new releases will be held for 2 days. Holds can be in person, by phone, or online by logging into your account in the Harrie P. Woodson Memorial Library Catalog.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
- All items are auto-renewed one (1) time, for a second period of 21 days, unless another patron has reserved that item. After 2 borrowing cycles, no further renewals are permitted and item(s) must be returned to the library for a minimum of 24 hours.
Overdue Items
- After 2 borrowing cycles (6 weeks from initial checkout) patrons are offered a 21-day grace period to return the borrowed item(s) before any fines or fees are assessed. Any items not returned within the 21-day grace period will be treated as lost or destroyed, and the Patron is responsible for replacing the item OR paying the cost for replacement, AND a paying a $5 fee per item to cover the associated material processing costs incurred by the library.
AEL & Digital Literacy Programs
Program Overview
The Harrie P. Woodson Memorial Library offers several programs to help adults meet their basic adult education needs at no cost. In-person classes are very small. Tutoring is one-on-one.
Mission Statement
The Harrie P. Woodson Memorial Library's Adult Basic Education program strives to embolden adults to take the first step of improving themselves and their lives by enrolling in a class; encourage them on their path to improve their literacy skills; enrich their lives as we offer instruction; and with these new skills, empower them to engage with their community.
GED and ESL: We partner with Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley and Texas Educational Region VI Adult Education to bring instruction to Caldwell.
Adult Literacy: We offer one-on-one tutoring, provided by volunteers, to teach adult basic literacy.
Digital Literacy for GED and ESL: We offer on-demand, weekly classes to teach fundamental computer skills, how to access and use Zoom, how to use the group message app, Remind, and how to submit the necessary digital forms in order to enroll in GED and ESL classes offered by Region VI.
Digital Literacy for Seniors: We offer weekly classes to teach the basics of using the computer. These classes are open to everyone, even those who have never touched a computer. (These are designed for seniors but we welcome adult students of any age.
