Sanitation and Waste Collection Division
The Sanitation and Waste Collection Division is responsible for providing solid waste services to the citizens of Caldwell and maintaining the operations of the system by minimizing service interruptions. In addition to collecting residential and commercial solid waste, the City of Caldwell also operates a recycling program at the City Warehouse.

Recycling Program
Recycling Program Help our community be a cleaner and more sustainable place while also reducing waste that goes to landfills. The City of Caldwell Recycling program is for all customers to participate in. Location:
City Warehouse

Recycle Center Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM
Saturday 9 AM - 12 PM
Acceptable Materials:
- Clear glass
- Brown glass
- Newspapers and magazines (no catalogs)
- Steel and aluminum cans
Things to know:
- No other colored glass is accepted
- Newspapers and magazines do not have to be tied or bundled
- Materials listed separately must be sorted (clear from brown glass, but not newspapers from magazines)
Brush & Bulk Waste Removal
When stacking brush, bags of leaves, and discarded items such as furniture or appliances for removal, please do so in accordance with these guidelines:
- Place your items within 3 feet of the curb/street.
- Allow space for the maneuverability of large equipment.
- Stack brush and leaves separate from other items.
Make sure items are not near:
- Mailboxes
- Water meters
- Gas meters
- Street signs
- Fire hydrants
- Telephone Poles/Braces
- Fences
- Vehicles
By doing so, City crews will be able to remove your items safely and in a timely manner.
Roll-Off Service
Roll-off containers are available for the collection, transportation, and disposal of waste generated on construction, remodeling, clean-up, or landscaping projects. To get a roll-off container for a projects, there are a few things to remember:
- The City is the sole roll-off provider unless another company is registered with the city to provide roll-offs.
- A permit from the City of Caldwell Utility Department is required before putting it on the property.
- Residents must sign an agreement with the Customer Service Department at City Hall and pay the fees associated, charges for hauls will be charged to the utility account and paid through the utility bill if they are customers.
- Only authorized users (owners, permittees, or contracted persons) are permitted to dispose of any refuse, brush, waste, or discarded items in a container.
- The container must be removed from the property within 30 days of project completion
